I am a Human Resource generalist with strong skills in providing superior standards of customer service previously in the retail and franchising industries.

Since joining Business SA in 2006 I have specialised in industrial relations consulting and training which has brought me into contact with a vast range of businesses in different sectors and expanded my skills and knowledge of the needs and challenges facing small to medium businesses across South Australia.

Elizabeth can offer you the following services:

  • Provision of a wide range of industrial relations advice including award interpretation to ensure the correct payment of employees
  • Representation of Business SA members at all industrial tribunals including the Fair Work Commission and the State and Federal Equal Opportunity Commissions
  • Negotiations with all recognised unions on issues regarding  the development and approval of Enterprise Agreements
  • Dealing with a cross section of unions on issues relating to employer/employee disputes
  • Provision of training to members and non members of Business SA regarding compliance with the Fair Work Act 2009
  • Specialised advice and the provision of high quality training to members in relation to issues arising from workplace bullying and harassment, sexual harassment and discrimination at the workplace
  • Conducting investigations on behalf of members specialising in bullying and harassment and sexual harassment complaints
  • Conducting mediations between employees and between management and employees when individuals have become involved in workplace conflict
  • Advice to members in consultation with other employees of Business SA regarding the application of state legislation including the Long Service Leave Act 1987, Work Health Safety Act 2013 and the Workers Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1986
  • Advising members in relation to disciplinary matters and where necessary the termination of the employment contract
  • Provision of advice regarding redundancy and eligible termination payments
  • Drafting of contracts of employment
