The Business Skilled visa program aims to attract skilled and experienced entrepreneurs and investors with the capital and desire to migrate to Australia for the purposes of setting up a business or entering into investment.
This program is largely a two-stage process whereby migrants enter Australia initially on a provisional visa, generally valid for a period of four (4) years. Once a provisional visa holder is able to demonstrate satisfactory evidence of a specific level of business or investment activity, they may apply for permanent residence. The Business Talent (subclass 132) visa which is suited for high calibre of business people is the only visa in the program that has a direct path to permanent residency.
