Gain the skills and knowledge required to be proficient in retail operations and/or supervision in various retail store settings.
 

Overview:

This qualification provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent in retail operations and / or supervision with the need to apply discretion and judgment. Individuals may have some responsibility for others and provide or hold specific coordination or support responsibilities within a store team.

Recommended for: 

  • Those interested in entering retail supervision
  • Retail professionals with industry experience looking to build on existing skills


Units include:

To achieve this certificate, 10 units must be completed, including 3 core and 7 electives.

Core units:

  • SIRXCCS003A - Coordinate interactions with customers
  • SIRXOHS002A - Maintain store safety
  • SIRXRSK002A - Maintain store security

Learning Outcomes:

Upon successful completion of this qualification, participants will be able to: 

  • Demonstrate relevant theoretical knowledge
  • Apply a range of well-developed skills
  • Apply known solutions to a variety of predictable problems
  • Perform processes that require a range of well-developed skills where some discretion and judgement is required
  • Interpret available information, using discretion and judgement
  • Take responsibility for their own outputs in work and learning
  • Take limited responsibility for the output of others


Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

RPL is available to participants who can demonstrate competence in any of the units within our nationally accredited courses. RPL is the acknowledgement of skills and knowledge acquired or learned through formal training, work and life experience.

Government Funding

Just by training your staff on the job, you may be eligible to receive a Government incentive of up to $4,000 per trainee towards the cost of a nationally recognised qualification. To enquire about government funding, please complete the Eligibility Questionnaire.
