An Adelaide couple led the charge in the South Australian contingent at the recent Food Hotel Asia 2010 trade expo in Singapore, drawing sales and enquiries from more than 18 countries across Asia, the Indian Sub continent, East Africa and the Seychelles.
In an extension of their trade mission to Vietnam, new Business SA member ALL FRESH EXPORTS AUSTRALIA also immediately secured a large sale, astonishing Austrade representatives who said that normally takes months.
ALL FRESH took major exhibition space at the South Australian stand in Singapore and was food and beverage sponsor of the SA State Dinner held as part of the event.
Stephen and Alma Goodall created their company as a one-stop shop for key South Australian food and beverage producers aimed at selling Australian food and beverages to lucrative and demanding high-end markets, particularly in Asia.
The business combines successful, nationally branded produce brokerage, market trading operations and partnerships in Asia.
The Goodalls started a few weeks before that sending an initial container of South Australian melons to Singapore and, even before that expo, they brokered the sale of more than 30 tonnes of food exports into Asia through an on-going relationship with Singapore Airlines.
With a model not seen before in the region, the Goodalls have now reached agreements with another major produce brokerage house, key local food industries including seafood and food services’ suppliers, a local winery and a juice manufacturer to provide their products to outlets across Asia.
The Goodalls have been away from Adelaide for the past 20 years with involvement in international resorts operations and executive management in Maldives, Hawaii, Fiji, Guam and Palau.
Mr Goodall said the couple’s business and industry relationships throughout Asia are vital to the success of ALL FRESH EXPORTS AUSTRALIA.

“The last three years of our time overseas we were trading in food and beverage products with a group spread across five countries including Asia, the Indian Sub Continent, the Middle East and Africa.”
He says they decided to tailor their business to meet the expectations of customers familiar with Australia’s highest standards of produce freshness, quality and value.
ALL FRESH had been carefully structured to provide exceptional delivery capacities to overseas customers through timely, responsive and responsible services.
“Our centrally located, Adelaide-based consolidation facility allows us to source the freshest produce from within South Australia for delivery into Asia on a daily basis,” Mr Goodall added.
Stephen Goodall is really excited about the future for his new company and its potential contribution to South Aussie food exports.
“We are really delighted with the extremely positive response from the export missions and the vitality of customer interest in our overall portfolio. It has been an amazing two weeks,” he said.
