Workers compensation industry participants from across South Australia are being encouraged to nominate themselves or someone they believe has excelled for WorkCoverSA’s 2011 Recovery and Return to Work Awards.
These prestigious awards recognise the outstanding achievements of injured workers and those who have helped them to remain at or return to work including employers, rehabilitation and return to work coordinators, health and rehabilitation providers and case managers.

Nominations Open: Premier's Business Award in Volunteering
The 2011 Premier’s Business Award in Volunteering recognises the valuable contribution the business community makes to support volunteering through corporate volunteering initiatives, donation programs and financial assistance. Winners of the 2011 Volunteers Day awards will be announced at a thank you event at the Festival Theatre on Volunteers Day, Monday 13 June. Meetings industry win tops off great year for venue
The Adelaide Event & Exhibition Centre was named Best Speciality Venue at the South Australian Meetings and Events Industry Awards held recently.
The Showground’s state-of-the-art exhibition centre will now represent South Australia at the National Awards in Brisbane later in the year.
Designed to recognise excellence in the meetings and events industry, the Meetings and Events Industry Awards are judged by industry experts.
EarthCheck tick for Adelaide Convention Centre
The Adelaide Convention Centre has again been confirmed as one of the meeting industry’s top environmentally sustainable businesses.
For the second consecutive year it has achieved silver EarthCheck certification, performing at ‘above best practice’ in seven key areas of natural resource reduction. Its success in diverting waste from landfill saw it graded 57% above best practice.
