Among the various award programs held over recent months, we acknowledge some of the Business SA members who have been successful.
Below we hear from the winner of the Business Owner Micro Business category at the recent state 2011 Telstra Business Awards, and we acknowledge the members who received awards at the Australia Business Arts Foundation’s AbaF Awards 2011.
2011 Telstra Business Awards
Business SA member, Brazcom, was the state winner of the "Business Owner Micro Business" category at the recent 2011 Telstra Business Awards.
Brazcom Imports is an importer and distributor of high-quality clothing from all around the globe.
Managing Director, Tim Nielsen, said: “While clothing importers are a dime-a-dozen, we are very different in that we have created a product niche in “cosmetic functional fashion” - clothing which, through the incorporation of cutting-edge science and technology, has biological effects that lead to cosmetic and therapeutic benefits.”
“This includes the world-famous Scala BioPromise shapewear from Brazil, which has long-term weight-loss and anti-cellulite benefits; and the remarkable new La Decollette bra from Holland, which is specially designed to fight wrinkles in a woman’s cleavage area.”
Presently, Brazcom Imports consists of Ms Lucimar and husband, Dr Tim Nielsen, who founded and direct the business; and Mr Luke Nielsen, who is the office manager and oversees the general administration.
In light of his qualifications and background in science, Tim also acts as spokesman for the product range. Brazcom Imports currently supply cosmetic functional fashion to over 150 retail outlets around Australia, as well as selling directly via the internet and phone (1300) sales.
