Fair Work Act Review Handed Down

The panel of three appointed to review the Federal Fair Work Act 2009 have handed down their final report.

The report, which has been published online by the Federal Government, makes 53 recommendations for changes to be made to the Act.

The panel made recommendations on a number of aspects of the Act, including annual leave, flexible working arrangements, public holidays, unfair dismissals and industrial action.

The report has also recommended that Fair Work Australia (FWA) be renamed.

It is now up to the Federal Government to decide what changes, if any, will be made to these laws.
