New Strategy for Manufacturing Sector
The State Government has announced that there will be money set aside over four years to introduce an Advanced Manufacturing Strategy.
The Strategy is designed to help local industry make the most of the opportunities emerging from the mining and energy sectors.
It will also be used to move the State from traditional manufacturing areas to high-value, advanced manufacturing.
The State Government has also announced the Strategy will support a Mining Industry Participation Office and an Advanced Manufacturing Council, as well as gauging industry intelligence.
The Strategy was adopted after recommendations by Adelaide’s Thinker-in-Residence, Professor Goran Roos.
