South Australian exporters shine on national stage

Three of South Australia’s most successful and innovative exporters were honoured last night at the Australian Export Awards, held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Winners of the 2011 Business SA Export Awards automatically qualified as finalists for the 2011 Australian Export Awards and three local companies were recognised with national awards.
The South Australian winners were:
Information and Communication Technology Award - Codan Limited
Regional Exporter Award - Almondco Australia
Small to Medium Services Award - Prism Defence
Business SA Chief Executive Officer, Peter Vaughan, said these national awards showcased the outstanding calibre of exporting in South Australia.
“We congratulate these three companies who have gone up against award winners from throughout the country and come out on top,” Mr Vaughan said.
“This year’s Business SA Export Awards were of the highest standard and this national success confirms the impressive quality of our local exporting community.
“It is important that we encourage more local companies to enter export markets and these award winners will hopefully provide the inspiration for others to follow in their footsteps.
“Business SA is delighted to provide a platform for South Australia’s premier exporters to be acknowledged and to showcase their great stories.”
