Timetable Released for Modern Award Review
Fair Work Australia (FWA) has released a detailed timetable for the Modern Award Review.
The Review is being rolled out over a four-stage period and is scheduled to finish by 31 May 2013.
The first stage of the Review, running from 1 July to 31 October 2012, deals with penalty rates in the retail, hospitality, fast food, restaurant, hair and beauty awards, as well as public holidays. It will also cover single issues within certain awards.
The Full Bench of FWA will be dealing with application with common issues, which include penalty rates, apprentices, trainees and junior rates, award flexibility and annual leave, public holidays and superannuation.
Business SA has been involved throughout the Review and will continue to represent South Australian business’ interests in this process.
