Chem Supply International Trade Officer Jutarat Buranasak was asked to investigate the potential to expand the South Australian chemical company's sales in SE Asia.

“I had no idea about exporting, my background had been in purchasing,” Jutarat says.

“When I learnt about the Export Ready Program though, I knew this could be useful to guide us through the process.”

“The market we’re now in is so different to what I’m used to and the Export Ready Program has raised lots of points on what we have to consider and what we should be looking at.

“The program has been useful that it shows that exporting is not an easy process. There are a lot of things that need to be considered. It has raised lots of questions that need to be answered before we can even consider exporting more product. It has been really useful for our business planning.”

Jutarat said the Export Ready Program had been able to guide her through the many questions she has had about the industries the company should be considering and potential new markets in different countries.

“I need to look at our other product ranges, it’s given me so many to-do lists, to be able to give us so much potential.”

Jutarat has now visited Thailand twice to look at their markets, including meeting local Austrade officials, and Chem Supply has also held meetings in Malaysia.
