The Free Trade Agreement Training Provider (FTA-TP) Grant has been established to assist eligible organisations deliver tailored training projects, aimed at helping Australian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and stakeholders understand how to use and access FTAs with China, Japan and Korea.
Organisations must meet specific criteria to be eligible for the grant. These criterions are detailed below:
Member-based business organisations located in Australia such as chambers of commerce and industry, bilateral business councils and chambers or peak industry/business associations
Individual Australian companies registered as training providers
Australian education institutions
The FTA-TP grants are designed to help raise the awareness of Australian SMEs about the opportunities provided by the recently negotiated FTAs with China, Japan and Korea. The grants assist established training providers to deliver information that clearly educates SMEs on how to use and access these FTAs effectively.
Building greater awareness of the benefits possible through the FTAs, will encourage greater engagement and confidence in accessing and utilising these international markets, particularly in the SME sector and will have a positive impact on the broader economy.
