A talented group of apprentices, trainees and employers who utilise the support services of Business SA’s Apprenticeship Support Australia
(ASA) program have been announced as finalists in the 2018 South Australian Training Awards
, recognising achievements in the vocational education and training sector.
ASA is sponsoring the Apprentice of the Year category again this year. Awards will be presented at a gala event at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on Friday 7 September.
The awards celebrate and reward individuals who excel in training, potentially boosting their career on a national scale.
from Kingsford Hotel Gawler has been nominated in the coveted Apprentice of the Year category and Marisa Di Vittorio
from Acqua Lounge Hair Studio for the School Based Apprentice of the Year.
Programmed Skilled Workforce’s Kirsty Potter
is a finalist for the Trainee of the Year and Trainee and Apprentice Placement Service’s Bradyn Wild
is our finalist for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Student of the Year.
A number of ASA members have been nominated in the various employer categories including McDonalds Australia
for Large Employer of the Year, and Fleurieu Cranes
for Medium Employer of the Year. Business SA member Clarke Energy Australia
is also a Medium Employer of the Year Award finalist.
Vying for the Small Employer of the Year Award are SMS Geotechnical
and Stainless Engineering and Maintenance
Business SA member Hessel Group
is up for the Industry Collaboration Award.
Winners of the SA Training Awards will represent the state at the Australian Training Awards in Sydney in November.
