Technology trailblazer Angelique Boileau learnt everything she knows about business on the streets of Soviet occupied Hungary.
“I have been in sales for as long as I can remember,” Angelique says.
“I would go door to door, selling anything from stockings to chocolate to support my family - it was a matter of necessity.”
Now the proud owner of the multimillion-dollar Adelaide based Information Communication Technology (ICT) company Boileau
, Angelique attributes her success to those early days in Hungary. Now in its 28th year, Boileau is in the Top 100 South Australian Companies.
Now a grandmother aged 70 and with no plans to retire, Angelique was the first female Sales Consultant in the office equipment space working for ABE Copiers (now Konika/Minolta) and is still ahead in the world of technology.
“Our vision for the future requires us to be aware of technological advances and innovations - to ensure that these advances are made available to benefit our customers and the environment in which we live and work."
Angelique and the Boileau brand are the perfect fit for Business SA's Mobile-ising Women in Business
conference coming to Adelaide on 27 June. As Premium Partner, Angelique will be introducing keynote speaker and fellow trailblazer, author Tara Moss.
Angelique urges South Australian businesses to support each other wherever we can and "not rely on governments and the eastern states to help us grow our businesses."
