Business Boost For Digital Health Startups

The new year brings an exciting opportunity for South Australian digital health startups and scaleups with an exciting partnership between the South Australian Business Chamber and the Digital Health CRC.

The South Australian Business Chamber Chief Executive Martin Haese says that tech entrepreneurs are brilliant at taking products and services to the next level. However, business decisions can be difficult to navigate, particularly during an ever evolving business landscape impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.

We see this a lot across the whole business community where South Australians with unique ideas that can’t get to the next level. This can happen for many reasons, like startups hoping to improve productivity, attract investors, commercialise products, or work with the research sector to develop their innovative ideas.

This is exactly what the South Australian Business Chamber is here to do. Our partnership with the Digital Health CRC will provide ten South Australian startups and scaleups with complimentary access to our business expertise.

Digital health businesses will have access to our unique Business Accelerator Program that covers a huge range of essential business growth topics such as embracing uncertainty, securing new customers and retaining current customers, building your brand, and the importance of leadership and culture.”

Digital Health CRC Chief Executive Officer Dr Terry Sweeney says the CRC is in a prime position to help boost the South Australian digital health ecosystem, since launching its national centre for innovation in Adelaide in 2021.

There are some exciting innovations coming out of the South Australian digital health sector right now. Projects include using real-time data for personalised health care, predictive analytics for aged care decision making, and consumer-driven apps like the CareApp that give a window into care for families and their loved ones.

CareApp Founder and Chief Executive Allison Nikula says that she is thrilled to be working with the DHCRC as the first South Australian business accessing the South Australian Business Chamber program.

It can be an absolute minefield establishing your business at the pace of the digital health sector and I encourage the startup and scaleup community to take up this opportunity to support growth and success.

In addition to being able to access coaching, growth consulting and advice including workplace relations, the opportunity to be able to connect with likeminded peers will be an invaluable outcome from this program.
