Staged funding over four years for SA economic recovery

The South Australian Business Chamber Chief Executive Martin Haese says that this is absolutely fantastic news from Premier Malinauskas this morning.

This announcement shows that Premier Malinauskas understands the South Australian business community has borne the financial brunt of this pandemic. It will take some time for many business operators to get back to pre-pandemic levels.

As the Economic Recovery Fund will run over several years, this is even better news for those businesses who need the extra time to get to the point of looking at growth again. It also tempers the influx of government stimulus to an already hot economy with rising inflation and higher interest rates.”

The South Australian Business Chamber Director of Policy and Advocacy Kendall Crowe is interested to know more details on the selection criteria for these grants and the establishment of InvestSA, especially the strategic investments that the government will make over the coming year to improve our competitiveness.

We look forward to working closely with the Malinauskas Government to see the South Australian business community thrive.”
