Our Staff

There’s a lot more to the South Australian Business Chamber than what you see in the media.

Meet some of the great people who work at South Australian Business Chamber.

Cindy Jackway

Training Manager

Cindy, or ‘CJ’ as she is known, wanted to be a policewoman when she was growing up, and still holds out hope to go to the police academy some day. For the time being, she spends her days making sure that South Australian business people are trained in Work Health and Safety, Workplace Relations, HR, leadership and management. Like the many tradies who complete her courses, Cindy cites hot chips and Farmers’ Union Iced Coffee as her favourite food and drink combo, and she regularly dons a hi-viz vest and helmet when walking around the office so that she ‘looks the part’. A fan of the regions, Cindy likes the William Creek pub, holidaying at Younghusband on the River Murray, and any of the multitude of ‘white’ beaches in this state (we asked her what her favourite beach was and she said: ‘a white one’).

Maggie Li

Manager, International Services

Maggie is our international services lead, helping businesses with their export documents, translation and migration requirements. She wanted to be an artist when she grew up, and although that didn’t eventuate, she definitely has the fun, flair and creativity of one! Maggie is a keen swimmer, is partial to the odd glass of wine, has copious amounts of Beerenberg jam on her morning toast, and curiously cites ‘planting succulents’ as her favourite ‘chill out’ activity. When asked about this hobby, she revealed that her perfect weekend involves ‘no child, no husband, just me, alone, doing gardening’. Maggie loves going on holidays to Victor Harbor and reckons that Brighton is the best beach in SA. She loves the great weather, the great people and the comparatively cheap housing here in South Australia.

Lisa Casella

Senior Consultant, Workplace Relations

Lisa is one of the workplace advisors on our highly-regarded Business Advice Hotline. A lawyer by trade, she’s uniquely qualified to help businesses with their workplace compliance issues. But Lisa’s true calling in life may, in fact, be acting, which she does in her spare time. When we were looking for ‘talent’ for our photo shoot, she jumped at the chance to be involved and, when she got in front of the cameras, her stage presence was immediately apparent (indeed she earnt a new nickname: ‘One Take’ Lisa). When she’s not on stage, Lisa likes a Chinese meal, chomping on Haigh’s chocolates and pumping iron at the gym. She loves South Australia because it has everything a person needs and everything is so close. Well, at least until Hollywood comes calling, that is.

Matt Lowe

Director Corporate Membership

Matt hardly needs an introduction because he’s one of our most recognisable figures at the South Australian Business Chamber, responsible for looking after our Corporate members. Matt was known as ‘Whispering Ted’ at school but his mysterious nickname didn’t help him win an AFL draft spot, despite his childhood desire to play at the highest level. Matt lives down Henley way, loves a good glass of Barossa Shiraz or Clare Valley Riesling, and can often be found sipping cappuccinos at Veloce Paninoteca. He’s an early riser and gym-goer, often pressing the steel and pumping the pig iron by 5.30am. To relax, Matt likes belting golf balls, chomping on Fruchocs, or supporting his favourite sports teams — the Power, the Lakers and the Philly Eagles. He loves holidaying at Clare or Kangaroo Island, cites Port Noarlunga as our best beach in SA, and enjoys a tipple while checking out the amazing view at Skycity’s Sol Rooftop Bar.

Estelle Costas

Corporate Services Assistant

‘Stelllaaaaaaa’ to her friends (and fans of the classic movie, A Streetcar Named Desire), Estelle was a straight‑A student at school, loves design and is on a journey to find her true passion in life (right now, she’s loving being an integral part of the South Australian Business Chamber). Estelle lives right across the road from Semaphore beach, loves Asian food, enjoys a fun night in with friends and family, loves the scenery in the Clare Valley, and cites ‘adventure rooms’ as her best spot for a date night. Estelle loves being productive and getting things done. And we love her for that, too.
