Anna is the Managing Director of Adelaide-based recruitment company Careerlink People Solutions, one of Australia’s longest running, independently held recruitment agencies, and GreenSearch Australia, a specialist recruitment firm for the renewable energy, environmental and sustainability sectors. Anna has worked overseas in the United Kingdom and Switzerland, but Adelaide is her home where she says the beaches, wine, people, opportunities and festivals have no peer internationally. Brett Burton
Wellbeing Director, Aleda Collective
Although many of us know him as a former high-flying forward with the Adelaide Crows AFL team, Brett now works as wellbeing facilitator and mental health advocate with Aleda Collective. Brett is a dedicated father of five kids who love surfing the breaks at Moana beach. He has a determination to educate and inspire young people to care for their wellbeing and mental health, and his vision is to enable every school-aged child access to the practice of meditation. The ‘Birdman’ (or ‘Rocky’, as he was known at school) loves a good Thomas Foods lamb roast, coupled with a D’Arenberg The Innocent Weed Grenache. He can often be found at Henley Square, frequenting Henley HQ, Blue Rose and the Ramsgate Hotel (although he’s careful to make sure there are no Port Adelaide players there first).
Aleda Collective is a Business SA SME Member and Brett has been a regular speaker at our events and webinars.

Kelly and Jason Delfos
The Studio West Beach
Husband-and-wife team Kelly and Jason Delfos own and operate The Studio, a community-focused health and fitness studio located in the beautiful beach side suburb of West Beach, catering for all fitness levels and experience. They have a very simple mission: to have fun while working out. The ‘JDog’ and ‘Kelstar’ (their pet names for one another) are also residents of West Beach, living just 100m from the water, where they spend a good deal of their time toning and shaping their sporty physiques. But despite their focus on fitness, they both enjoy a Thai meal, an Adelaide Hills Cider, dark chocolate from Haigh’s, a Lois Lane sparkling, and the odd sneaky pastry from the West Beach Patisserie and Eatery. When they’re not running, biking or doing a HIIT session (whatever that is), Kelly and Jason enjoy relaxing with the family watching sport (or Netflix) with a home-made pizza. They cite their favourite holiday destination as Carrickalinga, but when asked about their favourite South Australian beach, their response is unequivocal — it’s West Beach, of course.
The Studio at West Beach is a Business SA SME member. Business SA has assisted the business with networking, marketing and training. During COVID-19, The Studio also provided Business SA staff with online physical training sessions.

Dru Reschke
Koonara Wines
Dru is the owner and operator of Koonara Wines, Coonawarra’s first certified organic vineyards. Koonara’s wines have low sulphur, no residual sugar, are pesticide/herbicide free, and are 100% aged in French Oak barrels. As a kid, Dru dreamt of being a winemaker and his dream has come to fruition. When he’s not tending to his grapes, Dru is an avid reader of business books, he works out with heavy-duty resistance bands (there aren’t too many gyms down his way), and plays board games with the family. Dru is a proud Coonawarra local — he loves the beer garden at Penola’s Royal Oak Hotel, Pipers of Penola for date night, and Marcia’s famous Chicken Slice from the Coonawarra Store (you need to get there before 11am or you miss out). And next time you’re down in the Coonawarra, give Meekey’s Chilli & Cheese Kransky a try — cut them up, 5 min on the BBQ with some lemon and boom! Dru even wowed a group of wine critics with this local delicacy. A wine recommendation? Try the Koonara Daisies & Dandelions Chardonnay — it’s their best drop yet.
Koonara Wines is an Business SA Basics member and regularly uses our export document processing services and Business Advice Hotline.

Dino Vrynios
Das Studio
Architect Dino Vrynios works for Das Studio, an Adelaide-based architecture, interior design and landscape architecture practice striving to ‘make’ better. Das Studio approaches every project as an opportunity to unlock the potential of place, the imaginations of people and the power of community. Dino – or ‘Junior’ to his mates – wanted to be a scientist growing up and studied nanotechnology at uni, but ultimately he found his calling as an architect – and has no regrets because he gets to ‘make’ stuff. A Parkside resident, he loves a coffee from nearby Gang Gang, sourdough pizzas from Pan and Vine, a Negroni, Pinot or gin at Bar Torino, and cites Fugazzi and Shobosho as the best places for ‘date night’ with his wife Sara. Dino likes nothing better than heading to the beach with his chocolate labrador ‘Bowie’ and a good audiobook. His favourite holiday destinations are Snelling Beach on KI and Kuitpo in the Adelaide Hills and he loves SA for its size, affordability and lifestyle.
Das Studio is a Business SA SME member. Business SA has supported Das Studio by providing helpful resources and access to a significant local business network.

Kylie Walden
Allin Towbars
Kylie and her three sisters run Allin Towbars, a towbar manufacturer, 4WD installer and purveyor of everything ‘towing’ – it’s your one-stop towing shop! The business has been operating for 70 years, has 30 staff, and is characterised by a fun, positive and ‘can do’ attitude. Although she wanted to be a photographer or a travel agent when she grew up, Kylie started working for her dad 21 years ago and then inherited the company with her sisters when he passed away 7 years ago. A resident of Greenwith, ‘Kyka’ (as she is known) loves getting out-and-about, enjoys Thai food and is a fan of Haigh’s and Beerenberg products. Kylie enjoys spending time at the River Murray. Barossa Valley and on Yorke Peninsula, and cites Flaherty Beach as SA’s best beach. She watches Netflix to chill out and may be the only person remaining in the whole world who enjoys watching the sitcom ‘Friends’ (and is willing to admit it).
Allin Towbars is a regular user of the Business Advice Hotline, our modern award pack subscriptions and has appreciated being kept up-to-date during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Luke Timmins
Owner, Adelaide Hills Lawns and Gardens
Luke is the 2021 South Australian Young Entrepreneur of the Year. His business, Adelaide Hills Lawns and Gardens, offers high quality garden maintenance and landscaping services, specialising in large residential properties and boutique commercial spaces. Luke is on the record as saying he wanted to be an Aerospace Engineer, but dropped out of uni to mow lawns. Horticulture is about at far away as you can possibly get from ‘rocket science’ (literally), but he has no regrets whatsoever. A resident of the Adelaide Hills, Luke loves country pubs — the Hotel Elliot, Pretoria Hotel at Mannum, Stirling Hotel — but is equally at home on a date night at Udaberri. His perfect weekend involves an early morning bike ride, a swim and breakfast at the beach, a game of cricket at the picturesque Nairne oval, and an afternoon at an Adelaide Hills winery. Alternatively, a stick of Kanmantoo mettwurst and a couple Mismatch Session Ales will do the trick.
Adelaide Hills Lawns and Gardens is a Business SA SME Member. Luke Timmins was the 2021 SAYES Young Entrepreneur of the Year.

Charlene and Peter Elers
Semaphore Ink
Want to get ink done? Then pop down and see husband-and-wife team Charlene and Peter Elers at Semaphore Ink, a professional tattoo services provider down near the beach. Peter loves his work as a tattooist, because he gets to appreciate his Maori cultural traditions every day. Originally from Napier in NZ, Peter spent much of his childhood drawing and doing artwork — when he wasn’t playing rugby union, of course, which is pretty much mandatory for any Kiwi kid! Peter and Charlene are residents of Largs North and are regulars at the Sailmaster Tavern, which Peter cites as his venue of choice for ‘date night’. A craft beer aficionado, Peter loves Pirate Life and Big Shed Brewing (the Boozy Fruit New England IPA gets a special mention) and enjoys downing a cold one whilst checking out the view from the Sol Rootop Bar at SkyCity. He rides a Harley Davidson in his spare time and is, as you would expect, a big fan of the New Zealand All-Blacks rugby union team. But don’t let the facial tattoos or the scary motorcycle give you the wrong impression — Peter is as nice as pie!
Semaphore Ink is a Business SA SME member. The business regularly uses Business SA’s range of services and appreciates being kept up-to-date about important information for small business.

Heather Croall
Director of the Adelaide Fringe Festival
This lady needs no introduction. She’s the Director of the Adelaide Fringe, the biggest arts festival in the Southern Hemisphere (and second only to the Edinburgh Fringe in the entire world)! For 31 magical summer days and nights, Fringe transforms Adelaide and greater South Australia. Our festival stretches from Whyalla all the way across the state to Naracoorte, with eclectic and vibrant events that include cabaret, theatre, comedy, circus, music, visual arts, workshops and so much more. As a child, Heather always wanted to organise parties, run events and make films and thank god it turned out that way — by her own admission, she could have been a better student at Whyalla High! She loves all things South Australian, including Lucia’s, Port Willunga, Parwana, the Austral Hotel, hot tubs on Kangaroo Island, Hesketh Wines, Delicatessen on Waymouth Street, the Power and the Flinders Ranges.
Business SA is a proud partner of the Adelaide Fringe Festival.

Joshua Zucco
Butcher at Zucco’s Foodland West Lakes
One of the ‘mighty South Aussies’, butcher Joshua Zucco works for his family’s Foodland store at West Lakes, serving up the finest fresh meats, which are cut in house and delivered with a friendly smile. Josh always wanted to be a part of the family business when he was growing up and, although he wasn’t sure what role he would play, he’s found his true calling as a butcher (he admits that he’s a hands-on type of guy, rather than a pen-pusher). When asked about his favourite spot for ‘date night’, Josh argues the case for a romantic dinner at home, with a nice grain-fed sirloin, rib-eye or eye fillet, teamed with an earthy South Australian red wine. He’s a family guy at heart and loves spending time chilling with his wife and son on the couch. Although partial to a Vili’s pie and a hamburger-with-the-lot, Josh is also very active and plays of basketball and tennis. After all, he has to stay trim for all the marketing photography that he poses for — he and his distinctive ‘mo’ appear regularly in Foodland catalogues and he was a ‘natural’ when asked to pose for our Business SA photo shoot.

James Schmidt
Baker at Heidelberg Cakes
We have a butcher.…and a baker. James Schmidt is the owner of Heidelberg Cakes, a family-owned and operated baking business that produces celebration cakes for weddings, birthdays and other occasions. James has worked in the baking industry for over 30 years. His passion for producing cakes which taste as good as they look has been recognised by the Australian Bridal Industry Awards and the Royal Adelaide Show. As a coeliac, James is committed to providing customers with gluten free cakes, which is a specialty of the business. When he’s not baking, James enjoys spending time with his family, skiing, travelling and gardening. His wife of 27+ years, Carolyn, arranged to have James attend our photo shoot in his full baking garb, but was quick to explain that he doesn’t wear a hair net, because he ‘hasn’t got much hair’. Ouch.

Meg Juckers
Candlestick Maker at Adelaide Moulding and Candle Supplies
We’ve got a butcher, a baker.…and yep, you’ve guessed it, we’ve got a candlestick maker, too! Meet Meg Juckers from Adelaide Moulding and Candle Supplies, which is South Australia’s largest candle, resin and moulding supplier. ‘Meggles’, as she is known to her friends, loves arts and crafts, the odd Treasure Chest from Barnacle Bill’s, and relaxing on the couch with red wine, a cheese platter and Haigh’s chocolate (with candles glowing, of course). She’s also an outdoors person and enjoys hiking and camping at Coffin Bay and Streaky Bay on the Eyre Peninsula (where the candles come in handy, too).
Adelaide Moulding and Candle Supplies is a Business SA SME Member and regularly accesses our training courses and HR advice.
