Currently Ben is the Executive Advisor to the Lord Mayor of Adelaide. This role sees him involved in a wide range of relevant topics and projects within the City of Adelaide, liaising with State Government, and driving the City of Adelaide’s international engagement program.

In the past Ben has run a specialist small business consultancy, working with owners in over a dozen industries on a variety of projects including:

  • Strategic plan analysis, development, &implementation
  • Marketing strategy & implementation
  • Mentoring, coaching, & accountability
  • Recruitment & training
  • Operational implementation
  • Political advocacy
  • System improvement, often through digital implementation

Ben holds an MBA, has completed the Governor’s Leadership Foundation program (GLF), and is an Order of Merit graduate and member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD). He has spent time as president of the Franchise Council of Australia's SA Committee and non-Executive Director of the FCA, and so can provide insight and advice on the franchising model of entrepreneurship.

Previously Ben has served as a board member, committee chair, consultant, operations manager, department manager, social media manager, merchandiser, training facilitator, mentor, and mentee. National Manager, a Department Manager, and a Store Manager, with predominant focus on customer service environments.
