UniSA Online has announced it will be a provider of the Commonwealth Government’s Women in STEM Cadetship and Advanced Apprenticeships Program, designed to increase women’s participation in and access to Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) fields.
This round of the Women in STEM program is built around incentivising employers to support their female employees to study in STEM alongside their paid employment.
UniSA Online has a limited number of places available under the program in the 100% online Associate Degree in Information Technology and the Associate Degree in Engineering.
Grants of up to $5,000 are available (per employee, per year) to organisations from any industry sector to support their employees’ studies, while they work.
Funds can be used to help employees cover the cost of tuition or for such things as providing flexible workplace arrangements, study equipment and mentorship.
The opportunity is open to employers and their employees across all sectors, not just STEM-related fields, though places are limited.
More information is available from UniSA Online
Expressions of interest close on Wednesday 1 March 2023.
