Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinators (low risk) - 03 May 2011

In SA, workplaces with 30 or more employees must appoint a Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator. An employer with a WorkCover industry base levy less than 4.5% are considered low risk and must ensure that the Coordinator satisfactorily completes Level 1 training course approved by WorkCover. This one day WorkCover approved program is designed to assist Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinators understand and fulfill their responsibilities.

In SA, workplaces with 30 or more employees must appoint a Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator. An employer with a WorkCover industry base levy of 4.5% or higher (including self-insured employers) are considered high risk and must ensure that the Coordinator satisfactorily completes the Level 2 WorkCover approved training course. This course is designed to train Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinators in effective workplace-based rehabilitation and return to work practice.

The investigation of work-related injury and incidents is a requirement of the Occupational Health, Safety and Welfare Act 1986, which determines the investigation of the causes of work related injuries and fatalities to be an aspect of occupational health and safety. This workshop will lead you through a system of investigating incidents in the workplace and will provide you with information and tools to enable you to undertake investigations of incidents and recommend corrective action.
