Discover what is new and changing in the workplace
Business SA is pleased to once again introduce its popular conference aimed at providing all the latest information on issues being faced in the workplace.
Business SA will host the Changes and Challenges business conference, proudly supported by Employers Mutual, on Tuesday 7 June at the Adelaide Convention Centre.
The conference includes a tailor made program of practical workshops designed to keep businesses up-to-date with the latest issues facing businesses.
The sessions will cover various topics including: Superannuation, Marketing, OHS, Growing a Business, Workers Compensation, Finance and many more.
A wide range of companies (including Business SA) will also be exhibiting their products and services.
The day will facilitate the exchange of ideas and new information and provide opportunities to experience products and services from exhibitors, while encouraging the growth of a new network of business contacts.
Alf Ianniello of Detmold Packaging and Derrick McManus, a former police officer who was shot 14 times, will provide the keynote speeches.
Alf Ianniello is the Chief Executive Officer of Detmold Packaging, a South Australian packaging company employing over 2,500 people worldwide and with operations throughout Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
Derrick McManus was shot 14 times with a high-powered rifle in a siege in 1994 in the Barossa Valley. With broken bones and severed arteries, Derrick was lying, bleeding, for three hours while waiting to be rescued. Derrick fought on and despite medical predictions, he survived. In doing so Derrick proved that we can defy the odds when we are determined to give it everything we’ve got.
Business SA Chief Executive Officer, Peter Vaughan, said that the conference provides an ideal opportunity for business owners and many employees to further understand key issues in the workplace.
“This is South Australia’s premier business conference providing a comprehensive insight to the latest industry trends and standards in issues including workplace safety, environment and injury management,” Mr Vaughan said.
“Each year we are adding new workshops and topics to the program to keep up with the issues being faced by the business community.
“The conference is a great opportunity for people to access information on key business issues from industry and professional specialists all gathered in one place.
“It is essential that businesses determine the most effective way to implement management practices in the workplace and participants at the conference will be able to learn about these important subjects from industry experts.”
The conference will cover many issues including environment, injury management, legal issues, business finance, recruitment and retention, workplace relations, advertising and marketing, and occupational health and safety.
