Business SA will host the Changes and Challenges business conference, proudly supported by Employers Mutual, on Tuesday 7 June at the Adelaide Convention Centre.

The conference includes a tailor made program of practical workshops designed to keep businesses up-to-date with the latest issues facing businesses.

The sessions will cover various topics including: Superannuation, Marketing, OHS, Growing a Business, Workers Compensation, Finance and many more.

A wide range of companies (including Business SA) will also be exhibiting their products and services.

The day will facilitate the exchange of ideas and new information and provide opportunities to experience products and services from exhibitors, while encouraging the growth of a new network of business contacts.

Business SA mock trialsPresentation

Don’t get caught out and have to face a possible litigation. Save the date for one or all the mock trials to find out how you can avoid ending up in court!

Learn about the potential ramifications of unfair dismissals, adverse action, underpayment of wages and safety incidents in the workplace and gain an insight into court proceedings at these mock trials. Based on real life incidents, the mock trials will be conducted by experienced Business SA practitioners and heard by a current Tribunal Member.

Workers compensation industry participants from across South Australia are being encouraged to nominate themselves or someone they believe has excelled for WorkCoverSA’s 2011 Recovery and Return to Work Awards.

These prestigious awards recognise the outstanding achievements of injured workers and those who have helped them to remain at or return to work including employers, rehabilitation and return to work coordinators, health and rehabilitation providers and case managers.

London information evenings

The Department of Immigration and Citizenship will host Skills Australia Needs information evenings on 6, 7 and 8 June in London, United Kingdom.

There will be an information evening dedicated to each target industry of health, engineering or trades. Participants will have the opportunity to hear directly from the department about skilled visa options and meet with Australian employers and state and territory governments on visa sponsorship opportunities.

As part of its services to members, Business SA is considering offering a packaged Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Audit service.

The ICT Audit service would provide an assessment of your organisation’s ICT systems and processes, with a view to identifying weaknesses and shortcomings and providing recommendations via a written report for development and risk mitigation alternatives.

Business SA intends to deliver this service in partnership with properly credentialed ICT service providers that have been carefully reviewed and selected to ensure their professionalism, product knowledge, expertise and capacity to deliver.
