Business SA hosted another of its popular Women of the World events this week with special guest, The Hon Kate Ellis MP.
The breakfast, which was attended by more than 100 guests at the National Wine Centre, saw Minister Ellis explore the new directions in gender equality.
With a focus on greater equality between women and men throughout the community, Minister Ellis provided her insight on gender equality in the corporate world.
Kate Ellis is the Federal Member for Adelaide and is currently the Minister for Employment Participation and Child Care and the Minister for the Status of Women.
Business SA’s Women of the World events provide the opportunity for South Australian businesswomen to network, develop skills, gain knowledge and inspiration from other like-minded successful women.
Business SA Chief Executive Officer, Peter Vaughan, said that these events were about sharing success stories and leaving guests inspired.
“The Business SA Women of the World series enables people to be motivated by inspirational speakers who share their journey on how they got to where they are today,” Mr Vaughan said.
“The focus of this year’s series has been to provide guests the opportunity to hear from some of South Australia’s most successful women who are willing to share their secrets to success, learn more about the industries they work in and how they deal with challenges posed by work/life balance.”
