Business SA Environment Committee

Business SA’s Environment Committee plays an extremely important role in contributing to environmental policy for South Australia.

Chairperson Toby Terlet of Veolia Environmental Services commented:

"The Business SA Environment Committee is a diverse group of industry leaders who work very hard to promote and contribute to environmentally sustainable development in South Australia,” Toby said.

“The Committee has represented most industry sectors through influencing legislation, regulations, policies and programs to achieve best practice in the South Australian business community.

“Each month the Committee meets to consider all matters relevant to environmental sustainability, including, energy security, water, climate change, waste management and compliance to assist Business SA to develop environmental policy in order to inform and influence Governments and other decision makers.

“In this current financial climate it is very important for SA businesses to become better informed on environment and sustainability issues.   I'm confident the Environment Committee will continue to provide transparency and vision for many issues and concerns to come.”

Business SA responds to many environmental issues raised by government, recent involvement has included submissions on the proposed Carbon Tax, Eastern Mount Lofty Rangers Water Allocation Plan and comments on the proposed South Australian Marine Park Strategy.
