Business SA has another big line-up of Women of the World events for 2012 and the action kicks off on Wednesday 22 February at the National Wine Centre of Australia.
In what is set to be another popular series, the Women of the World events provide the opportunity for South Australian business women to network, develop skills, gain knowledge and inspiration from other like-minded successful women.
The focus of the 2012 series is to provide women in every industry with the opportunity to hear from some of South Australia’s most successful business women who are willing to share their journey to success, how they deal with work/life balance and their roles within the industry.
First event of the year- Blazing your own journey - hot career & business tips from two award winning women.
Come on a journey with us as we explore the lives of two award winning South Australian business women.
Join Kelly Baker-Jamieson, Managing Director of Edible Blooms and Theressa Hines, former Global Director Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) at Electrolux Home Products Australia, as we explore the theme of entrepreneurship and how it applies to both small business and corporate entities.
These 2011 award winning Telstra Business Women have amazing stories to share that will inspire you to take the next step, professionally and personally.
About our presenters
Kelly Baker-Jamieson ignored sceptics who said her start-up company would never work and invested her life savings to create an edible bouquet retailer that now operates in four states across Australia and New Zealand.
Kelly’s continued drive led her to win the 2011 Telstra Business Woman of the Year (SA).
Theressa Hines was until recently the Global Director for Environmental, Health and Safety for Electrolux Home Products Pty Ltd.
She was responsible for the strategic global direction of safety, health and environment for 32 manufacturing facilities covering approximately 54,000 employees.
Theressa is a firm believer in women having clear career expectations and goals and ensuring that they build support networks to help them achieve success, a vision that saw her named Telstra Business Woman of the Year 2011 (Hudson Private and Corporate).
Ready for a new journey, Theressa is now Executive General Manager of Employer Global Solutions Pty Ltd.
