Karen van Gorp is the Senior Policy Adviser at the South Australian Business Chamber with primary responsibility for Workplace Relations, Employment and Skills. With a career spanning over three decades, Karen's experience in this domain began in 1989 with the NT Chamber of Commerce and Industry arriving at the South Australian Chamber in July 2005 via the Queensland Chamber and the SA Retail Traders Association.

Karen commenced with the South Australian Business Chamber as a Senior Workplace Relations Consultant and later moved into the policy and advocacy space. Karen has cultivated a wealth of experience and expertise, through years of providing advice, advocacy, consultancy, and training to a diverse array of businesses and industries. Karen now advocates for South Australian Businesses to government and politicians at both a state and federal level often working within tripartite bodies to ensure the sensible business voice is heard. Karen's dedication to helping businesses overcome challenges and succeed is evident in her proactive approach and commitment to finding practical solutions.
