Easy Stretch to Business Success

Getting people moving is what this Murray Bridge local is all about. So when Alex Morgan needed to get her business moving, she came to the South Australian Business Chamber for flexible business advice and tips for her pilates studio through the South Australian Young Entrepreneur Scheme (SAYES).

The South Australian Business Chamber Executive Director, Employer Solutions and Programs Jenny Briggs reminds us that SAYES’ is all about saying yes.

We want South Australia’s young entrepreneurs to give their business ideas a real go, especially those in the regions.

This is the third year that we’re able to offer the SAYES program to regional participants. There are so many amazing regional ideas and business owners, and they really benefit from a dedicated regional program.

We are calling for our next round of graduates for the 2022 SAYES regional program. Are you keen to join the likes of Alex in realising your dreams?”

Founder and Owner Alex Morgan opened her business in 2016 to create a welcoming and inclusive community of men and women who love the way pilates makes them feel.

After a couple of years of working in the business, I realised I was missing some pretty essential systems in my business that would allow it to grow and run sustainably. Across the SAYES regional program, I enjoyed the most honest conversations with mentors and other business owners. This experience led to a lot of self-reflection and change within my systems.

Before SAYES, I never had the opportunity or the funds to be coached by 10+ experienced business people in a range of relevant areas all at the same time.

The best parts of the SAYES program were the diversity and the access to hands-on experts. While I am still navigating the challenges presented by COVID-19, I believe the knowledge and advice I gained during the SAYES program has helped me immensely. I am hopeful that 2022 will be the year of expansion for Move Pilates. I’m hoping to open a second studio space in a nearby town – watch this space!”

The South Australian Business Chamber SAYES regional program commences 28 March 2022 and will include 11 workshops in Adelaide over seven months. Successful applicants will have their travel expenses and accommodation requirements covered as part of the generous support from the Department for Innovation and Skills and South Australian Business Chamber.
